OxygenOS 14.0.0.500 rolling out to OnePlus 12R

OnePlus is rolling out a new update, labelled OxygenOS 14.0.0.500, for the OnePlus 12R units in India and globally. This update incorporates the February Android security patch and a few improvements.

The OxygenOS 14.0.0.500 improves the fingerprint unlocking experience and the camera performance as well. With this update, OnePlus has also expanded the compatibility of the NFC function.

As usual, this build is rolling out incrementally, which means it will reach a small percentage of users today. This will be followed by a broader rollout in a few days. If you haven't received the update notification yet, go to Settings > System > System Updates to manually check for it.

OnePlus 12R: Specifications

The OnePlus 12R comes with a large 6.78-inch AMOLED ProXDR Display, which features LTPO4.0 technology. It runs on OxygenOS 14, which is based on the latest Android 14 operating system. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform and can be paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The phone is powered by a 5,500 mAh battery that supports 100W SUPERVOOC fast charging for a quick power boost. It features an in-display fingerprint sensor for quick biometric authentication.

In terms of optics, the back panel of the OnePlus 12R boasts a triple camera setup that houses a main 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor with EIS and OIS support. The primary camera is assisted by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel Macro lens. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera with EIS support.
