Back in Feb. 2024, Google announced Gemini Business - a Workspace add-on subscription which provides a subset of the generative AI features available in Gemini Enterprise, subject to monthly usage limits. Google has now added the ability for Gemini Business customers to check a user's Gemini limit status in the admin console.

To check the usage limits of Gemini Business users, click Add new column, and then select Gemini limit status. The limit is categorized into three distinct groups:

  • Not approaching limit: has over 10% of their limit remaining.
  • Approaching limit: has 10% or less of their limit remaining
  • Usage limit reached: can't use Gemini for Google Workspace until next month.

In addition, for Gemini Enterprise and Gemini Business customers, Workspace admins can also check their user's last Gemini usage date.

In parallel, Google Site editors will now see a new notification that prompts them to address potential access permission while adding embedded content such as a PDF, document or presentation from Google Drive into a Google Site.

The notification will also appear when site editors publish the site or share it with other site collaborators and viewers, ensuring that other site collaborators or viewers have permission to edit or view embedded Drive content when collaborating on a site.

The new feature is rolling out to Rapid Release domains while Scheduled Release domains will start seeing the feature from April 25, 2024. It will be available to Google Workspace customers, Google Workspace Individual subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts.
