Meta AI brings new creative capabilities to WhatsApp

The Meta AI assistant is now available in search across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger in a dozen countries globally.

Using this next-gen AI assistant, you can generate images and videos in a flash on WhatsApp. As you start typing, the assistant will generate an image in real time, which will change with every few letters typed. You can use this feature to create album artwork for your band, decor inspiration for your apartment, custom animated GIFs and more. This feature is currently being rolled out in beta on WhatsApp and the Meta AI web experience in the US.

"With our most powerful large language model under the hood, Meta AI is better than ever. We're excited to share our next-generation assistant with even more people and can’t wait to see how it enhances people's lives," Meta said in a statement on Thursday.

You can access real-time information and get things done without leaving the app by using Meta AI in feeds, chats, and searches across Meta apps.

Meta AI is available in English in the United States, Australia, Canada, Ghana, Jamaica, Malawi, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe - with more to follow.

"In the coming months, we expect to continue to enhance the performance of Meta AI even more and bring new creative capabilities to WhatsApp," Meta said.
