HCLTech and IBM Launch Generative AI Centre of Excellence

In a significant move, IT services company HCL Technologies, in partnership with tech giant IBM, has announced the creation of a new Generative AI Centre of Excellence. This collaboration is set to revolutionize the landscape of enterprise-level AI deployment.

HCLTech, alongside IBM, plans to train an impressive 10,000 of its engineers and architects in IBM's advanced AI technologies, with a particular focus on the 'watsonx' platform. This initiative underscores both companies' commitment to advancing AI skills and creating innovative solutions.

Strategically located in HCLTech's AI and cloud native labs in Noida, London, New Jersey, and Santa Clara in the US, the centre aims to empower enterprises by modernizing legacy applications, simplifying coding processes, and enabling continuous improvements in the AI domain. According to Alan Flower, EVP at HCLTech, this collaboration will leverage the latest in IBM technology to offer differentiated AI-powered solutions. Stephen Smith of IBM added that the centre will serve as a hub for clients to experiment with and engineer generative AI solutions tailored to their business challenges.
