Sopra Steria Launches AI-Driven International Student Challenge

Sopra Steria introduces the Sopra Steria International Student Challenge, an AI-centric competition targeting environmental and social solutions. This competition encourages students worldwide to present projects in areas like environment, society, economy, and education. It begins on September 16, 2024, with an international final scheduled for March 2025.

Sopra Steria, a leading entity in the European tech sector, has introduced its inaugural ''Sopra Steria International Student Challenge.'' This innovation-driven competition is designed to harness artificial intelligence (AI) to foster solutions addressing key environmental and social transitions.

Given the myriad challenges confronting new generations, Sopra Steria aims to empower students to develop new, responsible solutions leveraging AI technology. The competition will evaluate student projects based on four critical transformation areas: environment, society, economy, and education, focusing on initiatives such as environmental preservation, social equity, and innovative educational methodologies.

Louis-Maxime Nègre, Head of Human Resources at Sopra Steria Group, emphasized, ''AI presents numerous advantages and risks amidst current global challenges. This competition aims to encourage thoughtful and responsible projects while educating future engineers on the societal impact of their technologies.'' The six-month competition opens on September 16, 2024, with the international final set for March 2025.
