India and UK Strengthen Ties with Groundbreaking Technology Security Initiative

India and the UK have formed a new Technology Security Initiative (TSI) to enhance collaboration in critical sectors such as clean energy, telecommunication, semiconductors, and new technologies. The initiative aims to elevate the strategic partnership between the two nations and propel economic and technological growth.

India and the UK have signed a landmark Technology Security Initiative (TSI) aimed at bolstering collaboration in critical sectors including clean energy, telecommunication, semiconductors, and emerging technologies. This initiative highlights a bold new approach to enhance their strategic partnership.

The announcement came following extensive talks between India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and his British counterpart David Lammy. Discussions also covered trade, defence, security, and the mobility of people, alongside negotiations for a free trade agreement.

The TSI is built on the India-UK Roadmap 2030, emphasizing cooperation in critical and emerging technologies. The initiative will be coordinated by both countries' National Security Advisors through established and new dialogues.
