The commitments, which were initially made public in July 2023, saw early adoption by industry giants including Google and OpenAI partner Microsoft. As of September, eight more firms such as Adobe, IBM, and Nvidia have also pledged their support.

The initiative underscores a collective industry effort to regulate AI responsibly amid growing concerns about its potential misuse.
