Telecom operators are working urgently to restore connectivity in Kerala's Wayanad district following devastating landslides that have cut off communication lines. An official statement confirmed that companies like BSNL, Airtel, Reliance Jio, and Vodafone Idea have ramped up efforts to provide seamless service.

The landslides, triggered by torrential rains, have already claimed 177 lives. In response, BSNL has activated 4G services in Chooralmala and Mundakkai areas, installing diesel engines to maintain service despite power outages.

Other operators have rallied similarly. Jio installed a second tower to bolster connectivity, while Airtel and Vi are offering free data and extending bill payment dates. Both companies have also turned retail stores into relief collection points to support ongoing rescue efforts.
