Tata Power on Tuesday reported a 31% increase in consolidated net profit, totaling Rs 1,189 crore, compared to the same period last year, driven by operational efficiency.

The company achieved its highest-ever and 19th consecutive quarter of PAT growth, bolstered by strong performance in generation, transmission & distribution, and renewables, which contributed 84% of PAT in Q1FY25.

Revenue for the quarter rose 12% year-on-year to a record Rs 16,810 crore, while EBITDA increased by 11% to Rs 3,350 crore. CEO Praveer Sinha highlighted a planned capex of Rs 20,000 crore for the year, focusing on clean energy technologies, with a substantial capex investment of Rs 4,000 crore recorded in Q1FY25.
