Dr. Jaijit Bhattacharya Appointed to ICANN's ccNSO Council

Dr. Jaijit Bhattacharya, President of C-DEP.org, has been appointed to ICANN's Country Code Names Supporting Organisation (ccNSO) Council representing Asia, Australia, and Pacific islands. He will begin his two-year term in November 2024 during the ICANN81 AGM in Istanbul. Dr. Bhattacharya is a renowned technology policy expert.

India, August 8, 2024 – The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has named Dr. Jaijit Bhattacharya, President of C-DEP.org, as a member of its Country Code Names Supporting Organisation (ccNSO) Council. Dr. Bhattacharya will represent Asia, Australia, and the Pacific islands.

His two-year term will commence during the ICANN81 Annual General Meeting in Istanbul this coming November. As part of the ccNSO, Dr. Bhattacharya will be instrumental in shaping policies around country code top-level domains (ccTLD) globally.
