VentuRISE 2024: Global Startup Challenge to Propel Innovation in Karnataka

The second edition of VentuRISE, a global startup challenge with a $300,000 prize pool, will be held in collaboration with TiE Global and TiE Bangalore. The event aims to identify and support innovative startups in sectors such as ESDM, auto/clean mobility, and aerospace & defence, promoting Karnataka as an innovation hub.

The second edition of VentuRISE, an international startup challenge, is set to take place in partnership with TiE Global and TiE Bangalore, announced Karnataka's Minister for Large and Medium Industries, M B Patil, on Thursday.

Unveiling the startup challenge, Patil highlighted the event's goal to identify and nurture pioneering innovations across various sectors with a prize pool of $300,000. The launch was conducted during a pre-event for the forthcoming ninth TiE Global Summit 2024.

This initiative aims to tackle critical industry challenges by offering startups a platform to present their solutions, connect with investors, and gain mentorship. VentuRISE 2024 underscores Karnataka's commitment to becoming a global innovation hub, specifically targeting manufacturing and allied sectors' growth by facilitating investor and industry connections.

The upcoming event will introduce new initiatives and expand mentorship programs to draw a broader spectrum of global investors. The focus areas for VentuRISE 2024 will include electronics system design and manufacturing (ESDM), auto/clean mobility, and aerospace & defence.

All challenge problem statements are provided by industry players to ensure startups address real-world needs. The three-round competition will span three-four months, incorporating online applications and pitch sessions, with the final presentation scheduled for the Global Investors Meet 2025 in Bengaluru.
