India's PC Market Sees Fourth Consecutive Quarter of Growth
India's traditional PC market, including desktops, notebooks, and workstations, experienced a 7.1% growth in shipments, reaching 3.39 million units from April to June 2024. In a significant development, India's traditional PC market, encompassing desktops, notebooks, and workstations, has surged for the fourth consecutive quarter. The market witnessed a 7.1% rise in shipments, totaling 3.39 million units from April to June 2024, as per market research firm IDC.
HP maintained its lead with a 31.7% share, trailed by Lenovo at 17.5%, Dell at 14.8%, Acer Group at 14.7%, and Asus at 7.1%, according to the IDC Worldwide Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker.
This growth was reflected across various segments, with desktops, notebooks, and workstations recording year-on-year increases of 5.9%, 7.4%, and 12.4%, respectively. The consumer segment grew by 11.2%, driven by robust demand across online and offline channels, while the commercial segment saw a 3.5% rise, fueled by increased demand in SMB and large business sectors.
