S Parthiban Appointed Chief General Manager of BSNL Tamil Nadu Circle

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd announces S Parthiban as the new Chief General Manager for the Tamil Nadu Circle. An Indian Telecommunication Service officer from the 1988 batch, Parthiban also holds the additional role of Chief General Manager of Chennai Telephones. An engineering graduate, he has played a significant role in developing telecom infrastructure in southern India.

State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) announced the appointment of S Parthiban as the Chief General Manager of the Tamil Nadu Circle on Friday.

Parthiban, an Indian Telecommunication Service officer from the 1988 batch, also takes on additional responsibilities as the Chief General Manager of Chennai Telephones.

An engineering graduate from Anna University, Chennai, Parthiban started his career in the Department of Telecommunications as an Assistant Divisional Engineering Telecom in southern telecom projects. He has been instrumental in developing long-distance telecom networks in the southern states, including digital microwave routes and optical fiber cable networks. In his previous roles as Director and Deputy Director General, Parthiban played a key part in uncovering and curbing illegal telecom setups, according to an official release.
