Tata Electronics has forged a strategic partnership with ASMPT Singapore to bolster its semiconductor assembly infrastructure in India. The agreement, announced on Tuesday, focuses on developing essential solutions and training programs for chip packaging units in Assam and Karnataka.
The collaboration will see ASMPT aiding Tata Electronics in workforce training, advancing service engineering infrastructure, automation, spare supports, and spearheading research and development in wirebond, flip chip, advanced packaging, and integrated system packaging.
This initiative is poised to accelerate Tata Electronics' semiconductor assembly and testing facilities readiness, with significant investments earmarked for plants in Vemagal, Karnataka, and Jagiroad, Assam. The partnership highlights a commitment to sustainable growth and strengthening the semiconductor ecosystem in India.
