Jabil to Invest $238M in New Tamil Nadu Plant, Creating 5,000 Jobs
Electronic components maker Jabil is set to establish a manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu, India, with an investment of 20 billion rupees ($238.2 million). This development will create nearly 5,000 jobs in the region. The state has also signed agreements with Rockwell Automation and Autodesk to expand their manufacturing presence.

Electronic components manufacturer Jabil plans to open a new plant in Tamil Nadu, India, investing approximately 20 billion rupees ($238.2 million), according to the state's industries minister. This development will generate around 5,000 jobs in the Trichy area.
Matt Crowley, Jabil's executive vice president for global business units, emphasized India's growing role as a manufacturing hub. "Our expansion in India will enable Jabil to meet and grow with the future needs of our customers," Crowley stated.
The state of Tamil Nadu also inked an agreement with Rockwell Automation valued at 6.66 billion rupees and another with Autodesk of undisclosed value, announced Chief Minister M K Stalin. Both companies did not immediately comment on the deals.
