The Uttar Pradesh government is preparing to organize a groundbreaking ceremony for investment proposals amounting to Rs 10 lakh crore, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Wednesday.
Encouraging the semiconductor industry to invest in the state, Adityanath spotlighted the incentives offered, including land subsidies and capital subsidies of 25 percent, under a specialized semiconductor policy. Coupled with the Centre's incentives of 50 percent, semiconductor units can avail subsidies up to 75 percent for investment proposals.
Addressing the Semicon India conference, Adityanath recalled that Uttar Pradesh once anticipated Rs 20,000 crore in investments. However, under his governance, the state has now attracted Rs 40 lakh crore in proposals, with a significant Rs 10 lakh crore set to be unveiled soon. The state has tied every incentive with employment, reserving 1000 acres of land for semiconductor projects.
