India has launched its inaugural AI security certification programme, labelled Certified Security Professional for Artificial Intelligence (CSPAI). This significant development is a collaboration between Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) and SISA, a global forensics-driven cybersecurity leader.

The programme, announced at SISA's headquarters in Bengaluru, aims to enrich the skills required to adapt and deploy secure and trustworthy AI in various work environments. Sanjay Bahl, Director General of CERT-In, emphasized the importance of this ANAB-accredited course in addressing the rapidly evolving threat landscape in AI cybersecurity.

The initiative represents a notable milestone in AI security certification under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP). It complements SISA's Cyber Nalanda initiative, aiming to tackle future cybersecurity challenges. By equipping professionals with advanced knowledge and tools, the programme aspires to reduce data breaches and augments organizational security postures, fostering greater trust among customers and stakeholders.
