Lava International is gearing up to launch its new Agni 3 smartphone series, complete with a rear display, on October 4. According to sources, the home-grown mobile device maker has invested around ₹500 crore in this venture.

Lava aims to achieve a 10% market share in the sub-₹30,000 smartphone segment by the financial year 2025-26. The Agni 3 model features a rear display, capable of call receiving, message display, and taking selfies using the main rear camera.

While the rear display is a feature typically found in premium flip phones, Lava's offering stands out as it incorporates this innovation into a bar phone design. Despite repeated attempts for a comment, Lava has not yet responded.
