HFCL, a domestic telecom equipment manufacturer, has reported a 4.5% rise in its consolidated net profit for the second quarter ending September 2024, reaching Rs 73 crore. However, the company also faced a 1.61% dip in year-on-year revenue, totaling approximately Rs 1,094 crore.
Despite global challenges in optic fiber cable demand and disruptions from the monsoon in parts of India, HFCL's Managing Director, Mahendra Nahata, highlighted the company's steady performance. Nahata pointed to significant achievements, such as delivering one of the world's most advanced broadband network gateway projects for BSNL.
A key highlight of the quarter was HFCL's strategic partnership with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc., a deal set to boost their capabilities in defense and provide new export opportunities. With a strategic focus on new products and international expansion, Nahata is optimistic about improved revenue and profitability in future quarters.
