The recent AI Action Summit in Paris, co-chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, showcased India's strong position in the artificial intelligence sector. Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasized India's strategic contributions, pointing out the nation's robust IT ecosystem, innovative culture, and significant talent pool.

Vaishnaw highlighted the summit's focus on ensuring greater access to AI infrastructure, promoting responsible use, diversifying AI applications, and fostering safe governance. India is facilitating access to over 18,000 GPUs at subsidized rates to bolster its startup and academic sectors.

Emphasizing 'AI for Good', the Prime Minister called for universal AI access and collaborative governance frameworks. Recognized for its leadership in AI regulation, India will host the next AI Summit, advancing its global influence in artificial intelligence governance.
