Kinetic Group Powers Ahead: New EV Battery Plant in Maharashtra

Kinetic Group has launched a new EV battery manufacturing plant in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, with an investment of Rs 50 crore. The facility will produce Range-X batteries for EVs and supply to OEMs. The company aims to support India's mobility transformation with advanced, sustainable battery technology.

Kinetic Group, an automotive components maker based in Pune, announced on Friday its expansion into the EV battery market with a new production facility in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, investing Rs 50 crore.

The facility is set to produce 60,000 batteries under the Range-X brand for two and three-wheeler electric vehicles. Besides LFP (Lithium-ion Phosphate), it will also manufacture NMC (Nickle Manganese Cobalt) batteries, supplying to both in-house and external OEMs.

The plant boasts automation and smart technologies to provide efficient, clean energy solutions. It aligns with the projected growth of India's EV market and the Make in India initiative, focusing on technological advancements and sustainability.
