Harnessing AI and Disruptive Tech for Rural Growth

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar advocated for using disruptive technologies such as AI to boost the agriculture sector, emphasizing the potential benefits for rural populations. In a call to action, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar stated that technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) ought to be harnessed for the improvement of the agriculture sector. He emphasized the potential impact these technologies can have on the rural populace, presenting both opportunities and responsibilities.

Addressing the African Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO) Conference, Dhankhar highlighted the importance of technology in alleviating human suffering. He underscored how the rural areas, home to 3.6 billion people, present a dual challenge of nurturing opportunities and managing responsibilities through technological advancement.

Dhankhar pointed out that India is leading by example with initiatives like Digital India and structured women's participation in governance, aiming to advance equality. His call for the strategic application of technology aims at transforming rural areas and laying a foundation for India to reach developed nation status by 2047.
