Sunil Jain, the founder and partner of Sundev Renewables LLP, declared his intent to invest $500 million in a green data center in Madhya Pradesh over the next five years. This announcement was made during the MP Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025.
Jain emphasized the need for a comprehensive policy supporting green data centers, highlighting the opportunity for international businesses to establish data centers in India. He noted the immense power consumption by data centers and advocated for Madhya Pradesh to innovate in creating eco-friendly solutions.
The proposed 750 megawatt facility could position Madhya Pradesh as a data hub, leveraging its strategic geographical location and competitive energy tariffs. Jain stressed the dual benefits of energy efficiency and job creation, pushing for a significant shift towards renewable energy in data management infrastructure.
