Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced on Wednesday that the company is intensifying its investments in the UK, as President Trump began his State Visit with a spotlight on the newly unveiled US-UK Tech Prosperity Deal. The deal aims to propel technologies like AI, quantum computing, and nuclear advancements.
Trump's itinerary in London included discussions with Prime Minister Keir Starmer, highlighting a commitment to emerging technologies. The Tech Prosperity Deal, characterized as a 'generational step change', pledges joint resources to transform tech landscapes in both nations.
In addition to Microsoft's investments, tech giants like NVIDIA, Google, OpenAI, and CoreWeave are collectively investing £31 billion to enhance the UK's AI infrastructure.
