In a strategic move to position Tamil Nadu as a premier digital hub, Chief Minister M K Stalin opened the Equinix Data Centre, established with a substantial investment of Rs 574 crore at the SIPCOT-Siruseri IT Park.
Headquartered in the US, Equinix has launched this cutting-edge data centre in Siruseri, Chengalpattu district, reinforcing infrastructure designed for artificial intelligence and next-generation technologies. As a global leader in digital infrastructure, Equinix provides international connectivity solutions to businesses worldwide.
During a ceremony at the Secretariat, the chief minister emphasized the government's proactive initiatives to attract investments aimed at massive job creation and economic enhancement. With Chennai's emergence as a major data centre hub, the state is witnessing the establishment of cutting-edge projects, contributing significantly to local growth prospects.
