BharatPe Welcomes Ajit Kumar as New CTO

BharatPe has announced Ajit Kumar as its new Chief Technology Officer, starting October 23, 2025. Kumar, with 19 years of experience, will focus on leading the technology strategy and driving innovation. Previously, he served as Senior VP of Engineering at Paytm.

Fintech firm BharatPe has announced the appointment of Ajit Kumar as its new Chief Technology Officer, effective October 23, 2025. The company made the announcement on Thursday, highlighting Kumar's extensive expertise in the financial technology sector.

Ajit Kumar will be taking over from Pankaj Goel, who vacated the role in May this year. Kumar brings over 19 years of rich experience, most recently holding the position of Senior Vice President of Engineering at Paytm, where his work focused on engineering and technology development.

BharatPe CEO Nalin Negi expressed confidence in Kumar's ability to advance the company's technology strategies. "His proven experience in building scalable fintech platforms and understanding of payments and UPI infrastructure will be instrumental in our continual innovation and technology enhancement," Negi said in a statement.
