India's technological capability, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI), presents a unique opportunity for global influence in productivity and innovation, according to Electronics and Information Technology Secretary S Krishnan.
Speaking at the Emerging Science, Technology, and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC) 2025, Krishnan highlighted AI's pivotal role in India's aim to become a developed nation by 2047. He stressed that India stands to gain significantly by deploying AI applications worldwide, enhancing service quality and creating new job opportunities.
Krishnan also underscored the need for inclusive technology adoption, ensuring benefits reach all societal segments. The conclave, from 3 to 5 November 2025 in New Delhi, expects participation from global experts, focusing on AI's transformative potential.
