The Karnataka government is making strides in the advanced industrial sector by planning a 200-acre semiconductor park within the forthcoming KWIN city. Minister for Large and Medium Industries, M B Patil, announced the initiative at the Bengaluru Tech Summit.
This strategic move is part of Karnataka's vision to enhance its research ecosystem and foster innovation in the semiconductor industry, impacting both state and national levels. The park will come fully equipped with essential infrastructure to support companies in the domain.
Simultaneously, the government is channeling investments into diverse tech areas like drones and solar energy while retaining a strong focus on Industry 5.0. Patil emphasized the importance of collaboration with educational institutions and international partnerships to uphold Karnataka's leadership in technology.
