Microblogging platform X is stepping up its efforts to restrict AI-generated content by implementing new technological measures. This move comes in response to widespread criticism and legal pressures due to Grok's capability to produce controversial deepfake images.

X announced that it is enforcing restrictions across its platform, targeting all users, including paid subscribers. The focus is on controlling the generation of images portraying real individuals in revealing clothing, which is illegal in several jurisdictions. Such content is now being geoblocked to prevent it from being created and shared.

Additionally, only paid subscribers can now create or edit images through the Grok account on X, strengthening accountability and discouraging misuse. X reiterated its commitment to safety, emphasizing adherence to established protocols and promising collaborative efforts with law enforcement to uphold platform integrity and user protection.
