Ola Electric on Friday announced that it has achieved Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification and secured a licence for its latest innovation, Ola Shakti. This product marks India's first residential Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) utilizing a 6kW/9.1 kWh battery pack powered by the 4680 Bharat Cell.

The Bengaluru-based company highlighted that Ola Shakti, designed, engineered, and manufactured entirely in India, stands as a pivotal solution in the country's energy landscape. The system underwent rigorous safety and quality tests, including measures against electrical faults and environmental stress, reflecting its robustness and commitment to safety.
