Silvercorp Metals Takes Major Stake in Gold Projects in Kyrgyzstan
Silvercorp Metals Inc has acquired a 70% interest in the Tulkubash and Kyzyltash gold projects in Kyrgyzstan for $162 million. The deal includes a cooperation agreement with Chaarat and NIA, with payments totaling $70 million. Silvercorp will operate the joint venture with Kyrgyzaltyn.
Silvercorp Metals Inc has announced a significant acquisition, taking a 70% stake in the Tulkubash and Kyzyltash gold projects in Kyrgyzstan as part of a deal valued at $162 million.
The company has signed a share purchase agreement with Chaarat and has secured a cooperation agreement with NIA, involving $70 million in two staged payments.
Upon completion, Silvercorp will operate a joint venture holding 70% interest, while Kyrgyzaltyn will maintain a 30% free-carried stake.
