Vietnam's Kim Long Motor Teams Up with BYD for EV Battery Plant

Vietnamese automaker Kim Long Motor revealed on Tuesday its strategic partnership with China's BYD to develop a $130 million battery plant in central Vietnam. This initiative aims to bolster the production of commercial electric vehicles.
The facility will span a 4.4-hectare area, reinforcing the region's industrial capabilities and advancing Vietnam's positioning in the electric vehicle market.
According to a statement by Kim Long Motor, the plant will boast a production capacity of 3 gigawatt-hours per year, marking a significant step in sustainable vehicle technology.
