As the hiring landscape grows more challenging in India, recruiters are leaning heavily on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to find the right talent. A recent LinkedIn report highlights that 71% of recruiters find AI effective in matching roles with the right skills, uncovering hidden talent in the process.
The survey, conducted by Censuswide, included 6,554 global HR professionals and 19,113 consumer respondents in November 2025. It revealed that AI is speeding up the hiring process, with 76% of recruiters affirming this. However, 74% face challenges in finding qualified candidates, citing a volume-quality mismatch, with a surge in AI-generated applications complicating matters further.
Looking forward, around 80% of Indian employers plan to increase their AI use to support hiring agendas in 2026. They believe that expanding AI implementation can lead to more insightful recruiter-candidate interactions, a faster hiring experience, and a consistent evaluation process based on skills rather than pedigree.
