In a bid to highlight the technological advancements in governance, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu welcomed Microsoft founder Bill Gates to the state's secretariat on Monday. Naidu showcased a myriad of initiatives, including the groundbreaking Real Time Governance System (RTGS), blockchain-protected property records, and the Sanjeevani health digitization project.
The CM elaborated on the state's data-driven governance model, presenting how technology is being utilized across departments through a synchronized data lake. Gates was impressed with the advancements, particularly with the significant rise in tax collection credited to GST and blockchain innovations in securing property data.
Further discussions between Naidu and Gates focused on scaling health initiatives across Andhra Pradesh. The Gates Foundation, already active in health projects at Kuppam, is considering expanding its interventions. Naidu also introduced Gates to the development of Amaravati as a greenfield capital and discussed future collaboration on AI-driven public service improvements.
