Carrier Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Ltd has secured a lease to develop a substantial air-conditioning manufacturing facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, representing a Rs 1,000 crore investment. This initiative is expected to create 1,000 direct and 2,000 indirect jobs, an official announcement confirmed.
The expansive project covers 39 acres and will emphasize sustainable, energy-efficient cooling technologies. The lease agreement was exchanged between Sundaresan Narayanan, Managing Director of Carrier India, and Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director of Sri City.
The facility, aligning with Carrier Global Corporation's climate and energy solutions leadership, highlights Andhra Pradesh's rapid industrial growth and reflects the state's efficient 'Speed of Doing Business' model. This advancement supports Carrier's growth strategy, enhances its green manufacturing practices, and fulfills increasing demand for eco-friendly cooling solutions.
