The integration of ethics in artificial intelligence (AI) applications is set to be a crucial factor in the health sector, as highlighted by Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Science and Technology. At the AI Impact Summit, Singh stressed the need for ethical AI development, exemplified by the government's BharatGen project.

Launched in October 2024, BharatGen is a sovereign AI engine designed to support multiple Indian languages and domains such as healthcare, agriculture, and law. With proprietary models like Param2, BharanGen provides services in text-to-speech and speech recognition, promoting multilingual access and inclusivity.

Rishi Bal, CEO of BharatGen, detailed the project's technological scope, emphasizing its role in bridging language gaps within India's diverse linguistic landscape. BharatGen's collaboration with private sectors aims to ensure the seamless integration of AI technologies across various domains.
