Jeet Adani, in a compelling address at the India AI Impact Summit, urged India to architect its own artificial intelligence infrastructure rather than rely on imports. Stressing the necessity for India's national sovereignty, he outlined a vision called the 'Intelligence Century', underscoring three pillars: energy, compute and cloud, and services.
Adani emphasized the importance of energy independence, linking sustainable energy security with the future of AI. He announced plans to integrate renewable energy clusters with AI infrastructure and data centers. 'Energy security is intelligence security,' he remarked, noting that this provides a competitive advantage.
As for computing infrastructure, Adani stated that cloud sovereignty signifies autonomy, not isolation. He advocated for India to domestically host critical AI workloads, providing local access to high-performance computing to stimulate startups, academia, and various industries. This, he argues, would ensure India's AI future remains sovereign and nationally significant.
