BBB Korea includes Swahili on interpretation service ahead of AfDB meeting
BBB Korea the largest free-of-charge volunteer interpretation service organization in the Republic of Korea, will be strengthening the volunteer Swahili interpretation service using the cellular phone.

African Development Bank (AfDB) 2018 Annual Meeting, which will be held at BEXCO, Busan, from May 21 until May 25, ahead of the annual meeting, BBB Korea the largest free-of-charge volunteer interpretation service organization in the Republic of Korea, will be strengthening the volunteer Swahili interpretation service using the cellular phone.
With the motto of 'The world that communicates without any language or cultural barriers', BBB Korea is a non-profit organization that provides the free-of-charge interpretation services in a total of 20 languages together with over 4,500 interpretation service volunteers.
In the BBB Korea's interpretation service, the main languages of over 80 member countries of the AfDB are included, including Swahili, which is the transportation language of the south-eastern region of Africa, English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese, etc. BBB Korea plans to play the role of a stepping stone for the cultural exchanges between Korea and Africa.
The BBB interpretation can be used by calling the representative number of 1588-5644 or by downloading the BBB Korea app into the smartphone. Regarding the Swahili, which was newly established recently, you can get connected right away to the Swahili interpretation volunteer by pressing the designated number of 20.
Choi, Mi-Hye, the Secretary-General of BBB, said that BBB Korea hopes that it will become an opportunity for the foreigners visiting Korea in order to attend the 2018 AfDB to communicate with the Korean culture, in addition to the economic exchanges, through BBB Korea.
He further said that the foundation of the cultural exchanges is the language, BBB Korea will become a stepping stone for the exchanges of the cultures with the foreigners who will have come from the African region in the future.
