Arunachal Pradesh aims to boost tourism, requests Centre's help

Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra Thursday requested the Centre to work out specific plans to promote tourism in the state.

The governor called on Union Minister of State for Tourism K J Alphons in the national capital and requested for commissioning of eco-friendly, tourist-friendly and socially beneficial projects, an official release said here. Mishra emphasized a holistic approach in harnessing the tourism potential of the state.

The governor who recently visited the Parsuram Kund in Lohit district and had a meeting with the head priest, impressed upon the Union minister for holistic development of the kund to promote spiritualism and age-old values, while keeping the Indian culture and traditions of the Kund undisturbed.
