Guar gum futures fall on weak spot cues
- Country:
- India
Guar gum prices fell by Rs 137 to Rs 9,745 per quintal in futures trade today as investors cut down their positions, triggered by a weak trend at the physical markets amid slackness in exports demand.
Marketmen attributed the fall in guar gum futures prices to a weak trend in the spot markets coupled with a fall in exports demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for the most-traded delivery in October dropped by Rs 137, or 1.39 percent, to Rs 9,745 per quintal with an open interest of 64,095 lots.
Guar gum for delivery in far-month November was trading lower by Rs 116, or 1.16 percent, to Rs 9,860 per quintal, in an open interest of 3,125 lots.
