Nickel strengthens on rising demand

Nickel prices advanced by Rs 5 per kg at the non-ferrous metals market today on the back of surging demand from consuming industries.

Traders said soaring demand from alloy-makers at the domestic spot market mainly kept nickel prices higher.

In the national capital, nickel plate (4x4) advanced by Rs 5 to Rs 928-930 per kg.

Zinc ingot Rs 133-139, nickel plate (4x4) Rs 928-930, gun metal scrap Rs 227,

Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 440, chadri deshi Rs 295.

Lead ingot Rs 142, lead imported Rs 149, aluminum ingots Rs 168, aluminum sheet cutting Rs 164, aluminum wire scrap Rs 164 and aluminum utensils scrap Rs 162.
