Soybean futures rise on global cues

Soybean prices went up by Rs 19 to Rs 3,292 per quintal in futures trade today on expanding of bets by speculators in sync with robust overseas markets stance.

Marketmen said emerging trend in the overseas market, encouraged investors to build up their holdings, which caused an uptick in soybean futures prices.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange platform, soybean delivery for October gained by Rs 19 or 0.58 percent to Rs 3,292 per quintal, mirroring an open interest of 59,910 lots.

In a similar way, the delivery for November increased by Rs 13 or 0.40 percent to Rs 3,291 per quintal, having an open interest of 43,060 lots.
