BIAL partners with IBM to create 'Airport in a Box' platform

BIAL is the operator of Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (KIAB/BLR Airport), one of the fastest-growing airports in the world. To enhance the agility and operational flexibility of the BLR Airport, BIAL has tapped IBM Global Business Services, IBM hybrid cloud capabilities and Kyndryl to design and implement a next-generation architecture with a robust, secure and dynamic delivery model.

IBM and the Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) have entered into a 10-year partnership to create a new "Airport in a Box" platform aimed at transforming technology, operations and customer experience.

To enhance the agility and operational flexibility of the BLR Airport, BIAL has tapped IBM Global Business Services, IBM hybrid cloud capabilities and Kyndryl to design and implement a next-generation architecture with a robust, secure and dynamic delivery model.

The "Airport in a Box platform" will help BIAL improve employee productivity, better utilization of IT assets, reduce costs through streamlined inventory control and improved incident management. The Platform will be enabled by an open hybrid cloud approach from IBM and supported by Red Hat Ansible Automation that provides an enterprise framework for building and operating IT automation at scale.
