Glowship launches new platform for providing rooftop solar solutions

City-based Glowship, which offers a marketplace for solar and home utility solutions, launched a new platform for providing rooftop solar solutions. The platform would target residential and small commercial segments estimated to exceed Rs 1.5 lakh crore by 2025, a press release said here.

Founder and chief executive officer of the company SrinivasPotukuchi said in the press release that the firm aims at simplifying the purchase process and optimise the system selection and design for long-term performance through the platform.

Glowship hopes to accelerate adoption and expands the size of the market by providing end-to-end enablement to homeowners and partner associates, the release said. As the country gets 300 days of sunshine, the market potential for rooftop solar in urban settlements is estimated to be 124 GW, said the release quoting The EnergyResources Institute.

The company said it leverages the power of an e-commerce platform and its solar expertise to provide customers instantly, accurate quote online along with a comprehensive estimate of the potential benefits for different types of solar rooftop solutions and configurations, a first-of-its-kind offering in the solar industry, the release said.

Glowship intends to expand its partnership with manufacturers and select-channel partners to scale the platform, it added.
