Karur Vysya Bank clocks 10.6 per cent rise in profit to Rs 83.74 crore

Private sector Karur Vysya Bank Wednesday said it has clocked a 10.6 per cent rise in the second quarter net profits to Rs 83.74 crore.
The Tamil Nadu-based bank had registered net profits at Rs 75.65 crore during the corresponding quarter of previous year, the bank said in a BSE filing. For the half year ending September 30, 2018, net profits of the company slipped to Rs 129.65 crore from Rs 223.62 crore registered during the year-ago period.
Total income for the July-September quarter remained flat at Rs 1,632.50 crore as against Rs 1,632.50 crore registered during the year-ago period.
For the six month period ending September 30, 2018, standalone total income grew to Rs 3,329.90 crore from Rs 3,252.88 crore registered during the year-ago period. The bank shares ended at Rs 76.90 apiece up by 2.60 per cent over the previous close in BSE.
