Two buses collide on Mumbai-Goa Highway; four injured

At least four persons were injured when two buses, one of them state-run, collided on the busy Mumbai-Goa Highway on Thursday, police said.
The accident involving the state-run and private buses took place near Shirdhon in Raigad district's Panvel city, around 65km from Mumbai, at around 11.30 am, an official said.
The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC)-run bus was going towards Pen in Raigad district, while the private bus was on its way to Panvel when the head-on collision took place, he said.
At least four persons, including the driver of one of the passenger vehicles, were injured in the crash, and rushed to a private hospital, where they are undergoing treatment, the official said.
A case of accident was registered at the Panvel city police station and further investigation was on, he added.
