Tragic Bus Accident Claims Four Lives in Himachal Pradesh

A bus accident on Kuddu-Giltari road in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla district has resulted in the death of four individuals and serious injuries to three others. The incident occurred early Friday morning when the driver lost control of the bus. Authorities have ordered a preliminary enquiry.

A tragic bus accident occurred early Friday on the Kuddu-Giltari road in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla district, leading to four fatalities and three critical injuries, police reported.

The Himachal Roadways Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus, with seven passengers, was en route to Giltari from Kuddu when it overturned around 6:45 am near Chauri Kainchi due to driver losing control.

SP Shimla, Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi, confirmed that victims Birma Devi and Dhan Shah died immediately, while bus driver Karam Das and conductor Rakesh Kumar perished en route to the hospital. The injured are receiving treatment at a local hospital.

Managing Director of HRTC, Rohan Chand Thakur, stated that a preliminary enquiry into the accident has been initiated.

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, and local MLA and Education Minister Rohit Thakur have expressed their condolences to the bereaved families.
