Quick commerce company Zepto has promoted Devendra Meel to the position of Chief Business Officer. In his new role, Meel will oversee category management and brand partnerships. He has been instrumental in scaling Zepto Pass to over 5 million subscribers and driving significant advertising revenue.

Quick commerce company Zepto on Friday announced the promotion of Devendra Meel to Chief Business Officer.

Meel will now lead category management and enhance brand partnerships, focusing on product assortment, pricing, availability, and category growth, according to the company statement.

Zepto Co-founder and CEO Aadit Palicha noted that Meel, who joined the company a year ago, has played a crucial role in scaling their advertising business to hundreds of crores in revenue. He also spearheaded the development of Zepto Pass from concept to over 5 million subscribers.

Palicha praised Meel for his entrepreneurial approach, stating that he treated Zepto Pass like his own venture, working tirelessly to make it a success. Meel previously led special initiatives at Zomato and Jio.
