Over 5.31 Lakh Users Embrace Metro Ride Kolkata App

The 'Metro Ride Kolkata App' has seen significant adoption since its launch. Over 5.31 lakh Android users and 9,000 iOS users have downloaded the app, streamlining metro travel for commuters by reducing the need to visit booking counters. Promotional films on using the app are being shown at metro stations.

Since its launch, the 'Metro Ride Kolkata App' has been downloaded by over 5.31 lakh Android phone users, according to an official statement. On the iOS platform, 9,000 users have downloaded the app following its release on March 22, 2024.

A Metro Railway spokesperson highlighted that by July 12, 2024, the number of Android downloads has topped 5.31 lakh since the app's debut on March 5, 2022, complementing the 9,000 downloads by iOS users from the Apple Store.

This milestone marks a record in Kolkata Metro's history, as the app increasingly gains traction among commuters, simplifying their travel experience. Special promotional films demonstrating how to download and use the app are being aired on platform televisions at metro stations to further encourage adoption.
