Bengaluru Police Implement Lane Discipline to Ease Airport Road Traffic
The Bengaluru Traffic Police launched a lane discipline campaign on Kempegowda International Airport Road. The initiative aims to reduce congestion and prevent accidents by requiring vehicles to drive in designated lanes. Violators will be fined, and the campaign will enhance traffic flow and ensure safety for all road users.

The Bengaluru Traffic Police on Tuesday launched a lane discipline campaign on Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) Road with the aim of reducing congestion and preventing accidents.
According to officials, drivers on KIA road (BB road - NH-44) must adhere to designated lanes or face fines. Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) are required to stay in the extreme left lane, while fast-moving vehicles must use the middle lane. Overtaking is only allowed in the extreme right lane.
"This initiative aims to reduce congestion and accidents, enhance traffic flow and efficiency, and ensure safety for all road users. We urge all road users to cooperate and follow these guidelines to make our roads safer and more efficient," stated MN Anucheth, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Bengaluru City.
